"All children need is a little help, a little hope, and someone to believe in them." -Magic Johnson
My name is Leslie Daniel. I am a Senior at Auburn University. My major is Elementary Education. I have chosen this path because I believe that every child deserves to be loved and encouraged as much as humanly possible. I feel that every child just needs someone in their corner who will never give up on them. Teachers are able to do and be these things for each and every one of their students every day.
I also firmly believe that every child deserves an equal chance to succeed. One of the most important ingredients to success is hope; if I do not believe in a child, how can they believe in themselves? I have been blessed with the ability to look past a person's current circumstances and see the potential that they have. No child should have to grow up feeling worthless or "stuck." As a mom, I want my daughter to grow knowing that she can do anything she sets her mind to. As a Teacher, I will hope the same for each and every child. Kids just need love and encouragement, and I will challenge myself to provide both of those every day.
You can see from my homepage that I have two beautiful children. They inspire me to be the best possible version of myself. In fact, they are the reason that I decided to pursue a career in Elementary Education. From the first time I heard their tiny heartbeats, I knew that I would love her with every ounce of my being. What I did not know was that she would love me just as much. They consistently give love and long to be loved in return. One of my professional goals is to provide children with the love that they deserve.
