At Conaway Electrical Service I held a position as an office assistant. While this does not seem like an experience that reflects Social Work, this job taught me a lot about myself as an employee. I learned that I am more than willing to do whatever is asked of me, and that I can work with many different people to complete a task. I strive to do the best that I possibly can in every situation, and I treat each task with the utmost importance. I am a very determined and hardworking person, and I believe that my former boss would say the same things. Determination and perseverance are traits that I believe are important to Social Work. Plunder Design
I am currently a consultant for Plunder Design, a direct sales jewelry company. I love working for Plunder because it has given me the opportunity to work with people one on one to ensure that they are made happy, and I have had to learn how to tactfully handle any mistakes that may occur. It has also pushed me out of my comfort zone; I have really had to become more outgoing, but I am thankful for the change. I took a leap of faith and created a Facebook group for my sales. As a result, I have been able to meet and interact many new people. I am learning how to advertise myself and my products, and it has been fun to watch myself grow throughout the journey.
